* RULES OF ADMISSION :-

Candidates seeking admission to I semester diploma, should have passed SSLC or an equivalent examination.


For Karnataka candidates of All categories :


  1. Candidate should have studied at least for five year in karnataka.
  2. A pass in SSLC Examination or equivalent, with a minimum of 35% of marks in both science and mathematics.
For Non Karnataka candidates of All categories :

  1. Candidates should have secured a minimum of 35% of marks in both science and mathematics.
  2. The Students shall produce eligibility certificates issued by the Board of Technical Examination, Bangalore.

Please Note:

After obtaining diploma from the Polytechnic, a candidates is eligible for direct admission to 3rdsemester B.E OF an engineering college in karnataka.


* PLAY GROUNDS :



The institution has got vast play- grounds to facilitate the students to play outdoor games like cricket, volleyball, football etc. Indoor games facilities too all available for students to play table tennis, chess, carom etc. The services of a qualified physical instructor are readily available to help the student in promoting their skills in games and athletics.

* HOSTEL :

The polytechnic has a well fuenished hostel having fifty rooms, each an attached bath-room and toilent and each room can accomodate three students. The hostel has a mess that provides clean vegetarian food on dividing system. Facilities for entartainment and recreation for the hostel boarders are made available by providing facilities of T.V, Table Tennies, shuttle cock badmiton etc.

* LABS AND WORK SHOPS :

The workshops and laboratories are well equipped with modern machines and instruments as to impart efficient practical training in the relevent fields and instill in them enough of self confidence to handle any sophisticated machines / instruments.










* LIBRARY :

The institution has a library with a collection of excellent books of about 5,250 volumes on various subject of Engineering sciences, Mathematics andApplied Science highly useful for the students.
The library subscribes to various periodicals, technical magazines, journals and daily newspapers for the benefits of students and staff. Books will be issued to the students for reading at home
against borrower's card and for reference in the library,on production of identity card.

Sri Bahubali Polytechnic is located at Shravanabelagola, a temple town and the world famous jain pilgrimage center Shravanabelagola is 140 kms west of Bangalore and 11 kms away from channarayapatna, a taluk head Quarters of Bangalore -Mangalore National Highway.The Polytechnic is surrounded by two rocky hills, Chandragiri and Indragiri on the east sides. The world famous 57 feet all statue of Bhagawan Bahubali carved out of monolithic rock stands on Indragiri,
Just in front of the polytechnic.These vary hills with Bahubali statue and temple a top and green fields around present a plearing and serene atmosphere for learning.

The polytechnic is managed by Shree Shravanabelagola Digambara jain Jnana Prasaraka Sangha.His Holiness Swasthishree Karmayogi Charukeerthi Bhattaraka Swamiji is the Chairman. The management Committee, under the guidance of parama pooja Swamiji, has been striving hard to propogate technical education among rural students and further to bring in change in the living standerds of the rural society.
